Chess Lions
School Programs
Chess Lions offers two ten-week intensive chess programs – a once-a-week curriculum and a program where an instructor comes to the school twice a week. Our chess instructors teach chess during the school day to five different classes and continue in the afternoon with a chess club and coaching.
Tournaments
In addition to these ten-week programs, we offer coaching for scholastic weekend tournaments and at national and state competitions.
Summer Camps
We offer additional 1-4 week-long summer camps to provide further chess enrichment to our school programs.
About us
We use a rigorous data-driven instructional model designed to make chess a bridge to build literacy, test taking skills and cross-curricular knowledge. We believe in fostering the student inquiry and critical thinking that make our students successful life-long learners. We also believe that chess can be a valuable tool to foster social and emotional growth.
